Principal Investigator - Marie Curie Fellow in the Advanced Materials for Optoelectronic group at IIT Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia
Principal Supervisor - Senior Researcher Tenured at IIT Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia where she leads the Advanced Materials for Opetoelectronic group.
Secondment Supervisor - Research scientist in the Printed Materials Systems group at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland
Secondment Supervisor - Head of the Insitute for Solar Fuels at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB), and professor at the Chemistry Department of TU Berlin.
Isabella Poli holds a Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy (2013), a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Technology at TU Delft University, The Netherlands (2015) and a PhD in Sustainable Chemical Technologies (Chemistry) at the University of Bath, UK (2019). After completing her PhD on Improving the Stability of Halide Perovskites for Photovoltaic and Solar Fuel Generation, she joined Annamaria Petrozza's group at the Italian Institute of Technology, Center for Nano Science and Technology (IIT-CNST), Milan. Since October 2021 she is Marie Curie Fellow at IIT working on the project BOLLA.
Her research covers the study of advanced metal halide perovskites for application in optoelectronics. She is particularly interested in the modulation of their bandgap, the investigation of their fundamental photophysical properties and the development of photoactive devices for solar energy driven photo-oxidation water purification systems.
In her free time, she loves running, hiking, knitting and experimenting vegan recipes.
